Christy and I had the pleasure of working with Mira & James on their May 23rd wedding at Rust Manor House in Leesburg, VA. Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided not to cooperate with their original plans (an outdoor wedding followed by a tented reception), so we quickly transitioned and ended up moving the ceremony and reception into the Manor House. Even though we had to go to Plan B, it didn't take away from the beauty of the decor or the amazing love that Mira & James shared with their guests on that day.
Thank you to Laura Louis at Three Lights Photography for the incredible shots. Thankfully, the rain went away later in the day and Laura was able to capture the beautiful outdoor setting that Rust Manor has to offer. The flowers were provided by Carly Johnson at Affordable Arrangements and featured pink spray roses and hypericum berries for the bridesmaids bouquets and centerpieces. String duo for the ceremony music was provided by Perfect Harmony Stings.

Things we love: Easy Idea Boards!
As your event planning unfolds, you no doubt find inspiration everywhere you turn. Your location, the season it takes place in, your favorite colors, architectural characteristics of the venue, pictures on blogs or in magazines....the list goes on.
Putting all your finds together in an Inspiration Board is a great way to focus your ideas and share them with your friends and vendors. However, if you're not overly tech-savvy (like me!) you probably feel that it's something too difficult to mess with. Definitely not true! Big Huge Labs created Mosaic Maker which now makes this an easy option for anyone.
Log onto the site choose a layout and start uploading your pictures! You can also change your pictures as you change your mind(which will likely happen a lot before all is said and done!)
Attached is the work of the very talented Karla Mitchell, a Kelley Cannon Events consultant. Karla is planning a bridal tea for a client of ours later this month. The initial inspiration came from the invitations (center) from Wiley Valentine. She then contacted Lisa Jennings from Social-o-logy to create the adorable accessories that give a nod to Alice in Wonderland. I can't wait to see how it all comes together. I will be sure to post pictures on the blog later this month.
Good luck with trying a board of your own!

Our New Name!
For some time, we've been saying that some changes are on the way. It's been an interesting transition and there were a few bumps along the way, but we're now ready to introduce Kelley Cannon Events properly! Formerly Pink Pineapple Events, Kelley Cannon Events still has the same staff and the same mission- to help you perfectly execute your next special event!
We're excited for all that KCE has in store, so please keep in touch as we continue to grow!
